This was definitely a great email to receive as Javin let me know that Mikkey Halsted linked up with MTV while in New York City last week and they put together this feature for Mixtape Daily. Mikkey tells the world the story about how he got to Cash Money, and the early Kanye West days. This is a great look for Mikkey, and definitely one that is well deserved. I’m hoping there’s a part two, only because I’d like to hear Mikkey talk about some other things besides the much talked about stint with Cash Money etc… Maybe it’s just me, but I enjoy hearing artists talk about and describe their actual music.
