Last night Asher Roth was in Chicago for a sold out show at Reggie’s.  I had the chance to talk to him throughout the night, and I must say, he’s in a very good place with regards to the music.  The experiences have only made him better, and the passion he has for the music is sincere.  Part of that is due to the creation process and finished product of Pabst & Jazz, a communal record that was sparked during three days kicking it with The Blended Babies.  The mixtape features collaborators Chip Tha Ripper, GLC, Action Bronson, YP, members of Kids These Days, and really has this new music community stamp all over it.  We’re in the midst of a renaissance of artists, djs, producers, writers, film people that all have kind of come up together and now after taking some lickings, have more shit figured out. So, think about where you’ve been all these years, sit back, and enjoy some Pabst & Jazz.
