Cooley High
words by Mike Treese of Mass Hysteria

The Cooley High Class of 2000 Mixtape first came out the same night as Mass Hysteria’s first real show, with Pharaohe Monch at the House of Blues (Dec. ’99).  Our second real show was with the homies’ Primeridian at the Double Door (Jan. 2000).  So considering we’re doing another show this Sat. Jan. 14th at the Double Door, with Pharoahe Monch, Primeridian, plus Astonish & Scheme… it’s only right that along with RubyHornet we Re-Issue: Cooley High Class of 2000 the REUNION Mix!  Presented and mixed by Mike Treese of MASS HYSTERIA and additional cuts by DJ Presyce. Featuring classic songs from Jay-Z, Common, Pharoahe, All Natural, Juice, Vakill, Primeridian, Rakim, D.I.T.C. and more! This mix even includes a New Version of MH’s song, “There Was A Time,” and two bonus cuts.  One unreleased joint by MH and one Hidden Track from the Molemen feat. Vakill, Qwel, Prime, and Mass Hysteria from 2000. A lot of Chicago heads still ask me about this mixtape so here it is, New and Improved, BAM!
