Raekwon kicks off “the year of the realness” with his new mixtape, Unexpected Victory.  The mixtape, which is 17 tracks deep and features others such as Busta Rhymes, JD Era, and L.E.P., also contains a statement on Rae’s career at this point.  He’s not only still relevant in the Hip Hop game, but is turning in some of his best work, almost in a second prime. That’s what this release drives home. He’s a veteran with a rookie’s hunger, and at a stage in his career where he is independent and can call his own shots.  Raekwon is one of my favorite artists, as well as people. Salute the God.
