The Odd Future camp has been busy this week with Earl Sweatshirt releasing “Guild” with Mac Miller while also performing an EarlWolf set with Tyler, the Creator during this week’s Jambalaya Fest in Texas. Today, the production team of Matt Martians (also part of The Internet with Syd the Kyd) and Hal Williams (Pyramid Vritra), The Jet Age of Tomorrow, have dropped their latest album, The JellyFish Mentality. The album features extra production from Syd the Kyd, SBTRKT, and Midtown Pat with vocal features from OF staples Earl Sweatshirt, Hodgy Beats, Mike G, Domo Genesis, as well as OF collaborators Mac Miller, Speak, Casey Veggies, Kilo Kish, The Stepkids, Jesse Boykins III, and Vince Staples.

The Jet Age of Tomorrow stays true to its name with atmospheric, space-like beats. Considering it’s the group’s third release, following 2010’s Voyager and 2011’s The Journey to the 5th Echelon, The Jet Age of Tomorrow has a grasp on their signature sound. If you’re not familiar with their past projects or The Internet, you might be surprised by the album’s laidback and chill production; however, it’s definitely a great alternative to the normal hip hop beats being made right now.
