Producers The Kickdrums have been in the game for sometime now and during that time have contributed beats to some of the industry’s hottest artists. Now they are experiencing a sort of a renaissance, discovering their old selves and moving away from making music for others. The Ghost Mixtape is an indication of this, providing listeners with 19 tracks, over half of which are The Kickdrums featuring only themselves. The mixtape acts as a prelude to their Meet Your Ghost album, which if the title is any indication, will be more in line with their distant selves, back when they made music explicitly for themselves. The Ghost Mixtape mixes tracks they produced for others as well ones that are completely their own. With some very dope features and a meshing of a rock and hip-hop sound, there is little to complain about here.
