"Swim Great" Moe Green

Last week we gave you “Masterpiece” from the Bay Area’s Moe Green. I had the track on repeat throughout the weekend, as Green’s music is perfect for taking a walk, clearing your thoughts and just zoning out.  Green is another up and comer in what I like to call the “honesty movement”.  It feels like Hip Hop’s new class has finally gotten away from “look at my sneakers and matching hat” and gone back to honest lyrics and soulful production.  Anyway, I went back through my inbox, and found this gem from a few week’s ago that I totally missed a couple weeks ago.  Here Moe Green provides us with “Swim Great”, a take on Frank Ocean’s “Swim Good”.  In some cultures, teaching a child to swim is consider an essential part of parenting and a metaphor for teaching kids to survive on their own.  Green is coming into his own and ready to do some serious laps.
