Monophonics

Here is some brand new funk from San Francisco’s Monophonics.  The song is “Like Yesterday”, which is parts “Low-Rider” and parts James Brown, all the way funky.  Singer/keyboardist Kelly Finnigan sings powerfully and confidently about a love, before the song, and Kelly both collapse and the love is “out the door like yesterday”.  This is the A-Side to the new 45 release from Colemine Records, with the B-Side the instrumental track “Freedom”.
