Mos Def

John Legend, Ani Difranco, Mos Def and Lenny Kravitz headlined Gulf Aid yesterday in New Orleans to benefit those affected by the recent BP oil spill and leak in the gulf of Mexico.  According to Spin Magazine, Mos Def recently moved to New Orleans and has been playing with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.  One of the festival highlights was Mos Def’s premiere of a new take on a New Orleans classic, “It Ain’t My Fault”.  Mos recorded the song with Trombone Shorty and Lenny Kravitz, and will be releasing the song as an iTunes single this week.  2-Cent.com caught Mos performing the track at Gulf Aid, which you can see in the video below.
