With two movies already made about the planet where primates rule, Rise of the Planet of the Apes looks to explain the origins of such a world. Starring James Franco as the inventor of a new brain repairing drug, it quickly spirals into the typical template for a movie about chimps exposed to experimental drugs. Chaos and destruction ensue as the animals rage through San Fransisco and Franco frantically searches for a way to stop them.
