A Midwestern mother is being sued to the tune of $80,000 per song for being caught illegally downloading. The record industry is trying to make an example of the mom, who was reportably busted for downloading 90’s Dance hit “Rhythm is a Dancer” SMH. The defendant’s lawyer is asking for a new trial and claims “The record industry wants to use this case to scare people into settling,”, typically when illegal downloaders settle it is for around three-thousand dollars… Yikes!
