On March 17th we took over Peckerheads in Austin, Texas for an unofficial showcase at SXSW. We brought our Digital Freshness party out to the LoneStar State to celebrate the release of Closed Sessions: ATX, the first commercial release from our Closed Sessions label. The album is on iTunes and in-stores now in a partnership with Decon Records, and features over 10 new songs as well as a 20 minute documentary. The album was recorded exactly a year ago inside of a landmark mansion, with sessions happening 24 hours a day with artists from all over the country. It was only right to come back to the scene of the crime with a slamming showcase. And that is exactly what we did as Peckerheads was packed from the opening note played by Kids These Days, to the final surprise performance by Fonzworth Bentley. In between artists such as YP, El Prez, Esso, Scheme, The Kid Daytona, Outasight, Skyzoo, Stalley, Rakaa and Babu of Dilated Peoples, Yelawolf, Hollywood Holt, Mic Terror, Million $ Mano, Aleon Craft, and Rockie Fresh all turned in ridiculous sets to easily make this showcase one of the strongest during the course of the weekend.
