After two years of touring, Noname is back with her sophomore album Room 25. The album is a follow up to her 2016 release Telefone, and continues the contemplative introspection and honesty that made her album the magnum opus of Chicago’s scene that year. Room 25, which was produced by Pheolix, has all of the features that we’ve come to expect from Noname (Saba, Smino, Ravyn Lenae) and two Adam Ness features. Room 25 is a massive, complex album and deserves a more in depth review and we’ll put out a long form review next week. In such a tumultuous time, I think that this is the album that Chicago needed this week, so I just want to say thank you Noname.
Room 25 is available on all streaming sites today.
