Nottz dropped his video for “Dontcha Wannabe (My Neighbor)” featuring a nod to Home Improvement and Mr. Rogers, as well as appearances by Asher Roth and Colin Munroe. The song will appear on Nottz’s forthcoming, You Need This Music, as well as his collaborative EP with Asher Roth entitled The Rawth EP. I interviewed Asher Roth last week and he talked a lot of about working with Nottz. Among other things, Roth said, “I wish I knew specifically how I got to Virginia and wound up in his studio. But I don’t. I just remembed sitting on the couch listening, and he just goes, ‘yo, go ahead.’ He let me roll through his computer and what he had on there. Shit’s like just heat rocks upon heat rocks, and the dude works harder than anybody I know, and he’s a fantastic father.”
