Jim DeRogatis recently reviewed Rhymefest’s sophomore album, El Che. DeRo gave the album 3/4 stars, deeming it a more than solid effort and calling Fest an everyman sage. Damn, Mike, you been holding out on us with the beats! What’s pimpish about that?
I’m just messing around. Obviously Mike didn’t produced any of the beats on El Che, but he did handle the majority of recording the project. He also appears in an interlude about half way through the album. That part was originally reserved for me, but I just couldn’t land the line right and Rhymefest replaced me. Ain’t that a bitch!
