Summer Camp: "Round The Moon" Video

Summer Camp

Nice downbeat electronic jam in the vein of early New Order.  The video as well is solid, perfectly capturing the early 80's pop vibe of the song.  Very excited to hear the rest of their first EP out in September on Moshi Moshi Records.

Mic Terror: "She Gonna Let Me" Video

Mic Terror

Mic Terror just released a new video for "She Gonna Let Me", which appears on the Can I Borrow A Feeling.  This takes the movie-within-the-movie format, and is pretty dope. GL Joe and Fly Kite put this together, and it also features many familiar faces...  Mic Terror is also dressed like a 1920's paperboy, so he has that going for him...  See the video below, and look for the RH directed video for "Favorite Girl" coming soon.

ColdHard Live In Chicago 8.12.10

Coldhard

GLC brought out a lot of special guests during his Welcome Home Concert August 12th at Reggies.  Perhaps the most well received guest that night was Crucial Conflict’s Cold Hard, who joined GLC for “Gangsta’s Nature” and “I Tried” before blessing the crowd with a few classic acapellas.  Hit the jump for the footage.

Stalley: "Babblin" Video

Stalley

2-Cent tells us:

"In commemoration of the upcoming 5th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina (Aug. 29, 2010), Director and New Orleans' own Brandan "BMike" Odums and 2-Cent (www.2-cent.com) present Stalley in "Babblin'" (Prod. by J. Rawls).

BMike was inspired to capture the current state of New Orleans by creating a visual accompaniment to Stalley's "Babblin'", off of the Ohio native's "The Autobiography" (download here) because he felt the song unintentionally represented the existing dichotomy in his city so well. Today, tourists and residents alike enjoy all that New Orleans has to offer, but many never visit the ninth ward or acknowledge the remnants of destruction that remain.

The imagery in "Babblin'" serves as a blunt reminder that the Katrina tragedy should not and cannot be forgotten, but through it all we must unite and rejoice to ensure life and the beautiful city of New Orleans live on."

Aleon Craft's The Stargazing Soundtrack

Aleon Craft has dropped an impressive mixtape. It's hosted by Mick Boogie and Terry Urban. Aleon also teamed up with a handful of other artists to make the mixtape including fellow ATLiens such as Hollyweerd, Playboy Tre, and Grip Plyaz. There are also features from Nappy Roots, Jarren Benton, and others. Aleon raps about his life and direct influences on himself throughout the mixtape as well as some less tangible material. As his name would lead you to expect, a lot of the tracks have a futuristic/space-like sound but remain very distinct from one another. That being said, Aleon definitely showcases his versatility on the tape. Oh, and all of the tracks sound pretty dope, too. The download link and the track listing can be found below.
