Young Jeezy: 1000 Grams Vol. 1 (Mixtape)
Since the Jeezy album has been pushed back again, he teamed up with DJ Scream (he actually screams) for 1000 Grams Vol. 1 to hold the streets over until TM103 drops. Solid original Jeezy coke rap, as he tackles Kanye's Power and whips it into Pow(d)er. Hit the jump for tracklist and download.

Twista: "The Heat" ft. Raekwon
There's no escaping "The Heat." The track's off of DJ Haze's Still Countin' Money mixtape. The track sounds awesome as we've got No I.D. and Traxster on the production side of things. Twista brings the lyrical heat as his verses are absolute fire. Raekwon hops on pretty late in the song to spit a brief but good verse. Cop the track below.
J. Cole: "Blow Up"
Everyone has dreams. I know J. Cole does. He wasn't afraid to stray from the norm and pursue them. In "Blow Up" he looks at where he is now and where he was.
"Momma say I should reconsider law school / That means I wear a suit, bend the truth, and feel awful / Hell naw, got a degree, but what that cost you /You make a good salary, Just to pay Sallie Mae."
J. Cole also raps on some contemporary issues that just about everyone faces at one time or another. Between that and the fact that J. Cole is actually going to "Blow Up" soon (his album is likely to drop sometime in late October), this song is not one you should pass over. Download it below.
Freeway: "Rock Star" (Produced by Jake One)
Like Jay-Z, Freeway doesn't need a guitar to be "Rock Star". The track's title led me to believe that there would be some sampling of screeching guitar riffs but there isn't any electric guitar at all. Dos Equis by Kaws
Looks like that gallery show in CT last month is paying dividends for Kaws as he ropes in another corporate gig, this time with fine beer purveyor Dos Equis. This special project features two color ways of Kaws-designed beer bottles. These bottles literally feature 'dos equis', prominently displaying Kaws' signature dueling x's all over the bottle. The green/red color way is for Dos Equis Lager, and the brown/red color way is for the Amber. Word is that these may only be a Mexican exclusive, but it doesn't seem like that should be the case. Regardless, look for these to drop next month, let's hope they get a stateside release as well.
