Comme des Garcons Luxury Group Wallets
Virgil is always talking about my "old man wallet"... While I shrug off some dispersions, I did see these new Comme Des Garcons joints and decided to throw them off as a post for people who prefer a lighter money holder. I'm cool with my Constanza wallet for now, but hey, if anyone wants to get me a gift... These are available now and are part of their Fall 2010 collection.
Gilbert Forte: "Take One" x "Dawn"
On the latest drop from his 87 Dreams mixtape, Gilbert serves up a two-for-one deal. For the first half of the track, he freestyles over Public Enemy’s "Lost at Birth". Then he catches you by surprise and brings in "Alter Ego" by Tame Impala and the kid with the black chukkas does it again. 87 Dreams drops on the 20th. Check out the double track below.
Narcisse: "Moonsex Cassette" x "HAPS3"
Electro-Pop is a very fun genre. It can be cheesy, but it can also just make you feel damn good. Narcisse, the Chicago-native/Brooklyn-based duo create a very clean sounding brand of electro that includes stints of Justice-esque grime. "Moonsex Cassette" is a joyful expression of sex in your cassette tape (mmmm). "HAPS3" is more dirty, but still very polished that will urge a response on the dance floor. On Friday night throw these on late night, you'll get a good response.

The Floridian beatsmith remarks heavily on the current state of hip-hop, and describes how simply skills on the mic or boards do not equate success in the year 2010. Be on the lookout for Numonics collaborative project with LA-based MC Co$$ titled Revelations Coming soon.
