Pains of Being young At Heart

I saw The Pains of Being Pure At Heart for the first time in Austin, TX in 2009.  Since then the band has released one critically acclaimed debut album that landed them in magazines such as Rolling Stone and Spin as well as countless blogs and websites.  They supported the self-titled debut LP with tours in the U.S., Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.  The band is now turning focus to a forthcoming 2011 sophomore set.  For the new album they have turned to Flood, a producer with credits ranging from The Smashing Pumpkins, PJ Harvey, and U2.  They have also enlisted the mixing talents of Ace Moulder, who has put in work for My Bloody Valentine, Arctic Monkeys, and others.  The result is being labeled as a more confident and louder Pains of Being Pure At Heart, and some of their best material.  We will let the fans decide, as we have streams of the LP’s first single “Heart In Your Heartbreak” and the b-side “The One”.  Hear them below.
