To label Pharoahe Monch’s new visual for “Clap”, the first single off his forthcoming new album, W.A.R. (We Are Renegades), simply a music video just isn’t right. The mini-movie was directed by Terrance Nance, who also co-wrote the film with Kevin P. Nelson. Much like the song, this video also centers on police brutality, depicting the terrible consequences when a police raid goes wrong.
Monch’s new album will be released on March 22nd via Duck Down Records. Fans who purchase the album will also receive this video as a bonus. You can pre-order it here.
