A little late on this one…I am still kind of bothered that Mr. Ade wasn’t a member of the XXL 2011 freshman class but maybe I’m bitter since I’m from the DMV too. XXL freshman or not, Phil Ade’s stock has yet to cease rising and I don’t think he’ll be slowing down anytime soon. He’s releasing his third project, A Different World, over at 2DB on July 12th.
Phil has taken a page out of Kanye’s book and has been dropping a track every Friday. His latest is his and Mark Henry’s take on Coldplay’s “Speed of Sound”. Mark Henry uses the song well. He keeps the production simple, staying pretty true to the original and allowing Phil to showcase what he does best. Get the track below.
