Photos by Chino Otsuka

Imagine being able to go back in time to find yourself. What would you tell the younger you? Or maybe it would be best to not say anything and simply relive the moment.

As the genre of self-portraiture gains popularity in contemporary photography, we often seek answers within ourselves on our personal identity. London-based photographer Chino Otsuka did just that in her photo series “Imagine Finding Me”. A series of unique ‘double self-portraits’ made between 2005 and 2009, around a collection of her personal childhood photos. Here, Chino Otsuka photoshopped her present self into these selected childhood photographs, creating a visual time travel while eloquently demonstrating the relationship of time and memory in photography.

Check out of some these photos and allow yourself to imagine your own time travel.
