Curren$y made his way back to Chicago on Friday for a concert at The Congress with Big K.R.I.T. Before hitting the venue, Curren$y set up shop at SoundScape for a 6 hour session with Thelonious Martin. Following up on the chemistry created with “Talk My Shit”, Spitta and Thelonious recorded a few new records with cameos from Young Roddy, Sir Michael Rocks, the NOI security detail, magnetic cookware, and much more.
There’s no set plan yet for the new music, but this does set the stage for a Closed Sessions x Curren$y EP, produced by young Thelonious. We add “Talk My Shit” and a Thelonious Martin remix of “Rapper Weed”, and I think that’s pretty good money. What do you think?
