True Closed Sessions fans know and love, “Rapper Weed”, the song made by Curren$y and Tony Baines during the first Closed Session back in the summer of 2010. We’ve come a long way since then, and so has Curren$y, the leader of #JETLIFE and one of Hip Hop’s most respected and liked emcees. We’d been talking about it for while, Curren$y’s return to SoundScape and Closed Sessions, a possible “Rapper Weed 2”. Yesterday following a performance at the WGCI Car and Bike Show, Curren$y brought Closed Sessions full circle, making his return trip to the studio, working with Thelonious Martin. The story goes that Curren$y saw our new session with Action Bronson, and decided the time was right. The new record is very dope. Trust me.
