MTV2 Sucker Free hit Chicago yesterday to kick off their weekend of interviews, and events. I’ve hopped on as a production assistant and traveled throughout the city with Jiro, and Tony Shane, who is shooting as well. In between getting my boom mic operator credits on, I’ve been able to snap a couple behind the scenes pics.
Our first stop was a salon on 39th and Cottage Grove where we interviewed Chella H, Sasha Go Hard, Katie Got Bandz, and Shady. After that, we hit the Lacuna Artist Lofts and spoke to King Louie about his fast rise, new record deal, and coming up in Dro City. We also spoke to John Monopoly and Larro Wilson of Lawless Inc. about everything they have going on. After the lofts, we hit 43rd and State where L.E.P was out in full force with the L.E.P. Nation. After that they took us to their studio aka the Clinic and went deep into Chicago politics, music and culture. They also gave us a sneak peek of new music videos and some crazy new records with surprising guest features.
