On December 31st, 2009, electronic producer Pretty Lights blessed the city of Chicago with a an intense, vibrant performance at The Vic, equipped with a then brand new, downtempo set that comforted fans on that frigid winter night. A show that I was able to miss for a good ole’ Wicker Park hipster get down, or “Nose Ring New Years”. This year Pretty Lights will be playing December 30th and 31st. The first night Pretty Lights will be joined by Major Lazer, followed by Holy Fuck on New Year’s Eve. After a live set a couple weeks ago at North Coast, where he debuted his own Chicago flavored mix, which included Kanye’s Get ‘Em High and Common’s The Corner. Looks like the 1st year of a new decade will end with a huge blast at The Congress.
