Martin $ky is a kid that I’ve seen grow quite a bit since he first emailed me something at the very beginning of 2012. In the seven or so months that I’ve been receiving music from the emcee/producer, his rhymes have gotten better and his own voice more pronounced. That voice is somewhere between the early ’00’s underground L.A. scene and the current Chicago resurgence of minimal, lo-fi, grainy beats, and plainly delivered rhymes. Today we’re proud to present Martin $ky’s latest project, the Member$ Only EP. The project pushes the limits of an EP, coming in at 11 tracks including previously heard “Crack For The Masses”, “Dear Mr. Yancey” and “No So Sweet Sixteen”.
