Pitchfork and Lollapalooza are done, two sure signs that summer in Chicago is dwindling away. However, there is one more large music festival to look forward to with the third annual North Coast Music Festival happening August 31st-September 2nd in Chicago’s Union Park. North Coast Music Fest has a very strong lineup including Yelawolf, Big Boi, Mr. MFN eXquire, Pretty Lights, Steve Aoki, Zion I, People Under The Stairs, Atmosphere, Dan Deacon, and many more.
While the festival lineup is diverse, there is only 1 official Hip Hop After-Party happening. It takes place August 31st at Cobra Lounge and will feature performances from Neak Undefined, Add-2, and a headlining performance from Chance The Rapper. All three artists have been featured on some kind of Chicago list over here, making this a potentially historic show. The lineup also features DJ sets from Maker, DJ RTC, and Stefan Ponce.
