Times are changing quickly folks. The weather is moving towards the fall as the summer slips away. Every day by 7 o’clock I get an an odd feeling, probably because it’s dark by then. I myself will be in another city in less than a week. As students return to school, fall collections are being rolled out by brands and store alike; we’ve got some recommendations for you so you don’t need to sort through them all. This week features products from and available at St. Alfred, Leaders 1354, Jugrnaut, and Sir & Madame.

Sir & Madame

One of the most interesting and pioneering shops around is Sir & Madame. Their summer gear showed impeccable attention to detail and quality. This is also true for nearly every other brands product that they stock. This week the latest products from Levi’s Vintage Collection arrived, a collection that consists of vintage cuts of the famous 501, flannel work shirts, and sweatshirts. For the ladies Sir & Madame has Cheap Monday, which was recently restocked. The shop also released a few tank tops that use the Wax Seal design which we featured back in the beginning of the summer.

Within the next month the shop will be receiving fall collections from Strivers Row as well as their own products. They’ve pushed back the release of the Fall items due to the great weather that we are still experiencing, but they did get the latest from Red Wing Boots. The classic boots are available in three different models, each with smooth leather finishes but varying colors. If you’re looking for some very clean and understated gear for this fall, look no further than S&M.

Jugrnaut

These next two weeks are busy ones for the crew at Jugrnaut. They will be hosting the release of the Psalm One tee next Friday, September 2nd. The following day they are hosting a back-to-school/end-of-the-summer party at Reggies; “The Release” will feature performances by DJ’s Stefan Ponce, MattBoyWhite, Manny Muscles and DJ White Owl. This is a guaranteed good time, it’s 18+ and only 5$ if you arrive before 10 p.m.

This weekend the shop will release its third drop of Jugrnaut x Starter caps. The latest release feature the ‘Power’ logo in black and white on top of an all black cap. The ‘Can’t Stop • Won’t Stop’ design shows up in a red, black, and gold colorway. This cap is my personal favorite released so far, utilizing a great color scheme that makes the type on it even better; it releases at midnight tonight. Also going down this weekend is their back to school sale, which offers deals up to 60% off some items and a guaranteed 20%. This is only good for this weekend, so make sure to stop by.

Leaders 1354

RubyHornet is no stranger to Akomplice. Neither is Chicago’s Leaders 1354, which has just received their latest drop. The four shirts were designed in collaboration with modern-street artist David Flores. Limited to 350 of each of the colorways (each design has a few), the tees come in a custom box with a numbered tag, guaranteeing authenticity as well as quality. Three of the designs are easily recognizable as Flores’ pieces because of their “stained glass window” composition, a signature element of his work. The fourth shirt depicts Donald Duck drenched in oil. Each of the tee’s are very clean and are something that will be highly coveted.

LDRS1354 has the newest release of Nike Floamposites in Pine Green for the weekend and clothing brand BREAD is also newly stocked.

St. Alfred

I stopped by the shop last week and if you’re looking for fall gear, St. Alfreds is the place to be. Their collection of Crooks & Castles is stocked, along with Deluxe brand and Nike Sportswear, which means there are plenty of outerwear offerings. Last week they also geared up on new Hundreds, which they supplemented this week with even more tees, hoodies, and flannels from the left coast brand. On another note, it had been sometime since I had seen and Flip The Bird clothing at the shop, but they recently got a shipment of tees from the brand. Drawing on influences like pueblo Indian blanket patterns and sporting mottoes like “There is no ‘I’ in C.R.E.A.M.”, the newest collection is eclectic and looks very sharp.

The shops next restock of Vans is very exciting because it will include the latest Vans Vault and Taka Hayashi collab. The Japanese designer brings his sensibilities to a Sk8-Hi, making for one sleek and elegant sneaker.

RSVP Gallery

It seemed to be a slower week at RSVP Gallery, with the only new products being a restock of Don C’s Snakeskin Caps. Their latest products are the leather good from 3.1 Phillip Lim and new Ambush jewelry products. The caps are very limited, but if you’re interested in purchasing one stop by the store and see if they can hook it up.

Uprise

The skate shop’s only new products are Nike SB’s September release. The drop features a Blazer Hi, Dunk Hi, Stefan Janoski lo and mids, and a Dunk Mid. The Blazers are worth noting because their color scheme borrows its inspiration fro ATCQ’s Midnight Marauders album. Green laces, a red swoosh, and a black upper with the tonal stripes from the cover make these a very distinct release.
