After last Sunday and the Bear’s resounding victory over the Super-Bowl hyped Falcons, I should really suggest that you go out and buy a few jerseys; but that would be too easy. Because the week started off on a good note, there was little doubt the week wouldn’t end as such. Below are some highlights from around Chicago’s fashion scene from forerunners Saint Alfred, Leaders 1354, Jugrnaut, RSVP Gallery, and Sir & Madame.

Saint Alfred

RSVP Gallery is known as the store for high-end streetwear, but Saint Alfred has begun to increase its stock with arrivals of some top international clothing brands. This week the store received large t-shirt orders from WTAPS and Neighborhood. These are staple brands in the Japanese market and continue to deliver high-quality graphics as well as inventive pieces. Check out the work shirt that NBHD delivered. The denim construction is distressed and looks like it’s been worn for years, my bet is it will start to look even better as it’s broken in.

As the weather cools down, the procession of hats and coats is sure to increase. Nike Sportswear dropped a clean black letterman jacket as well as a water proof hoodie. Stussy, WTAPS, Norse Projects, and Undefeated all have their own design of winter beanie at the store. Kicks wise, the store just stocked the latest collaboration by Bodega. This time with running shoe company Saucony, debuting a Elite Grid 9000 model that meshes multiple materials and colors. Pairing clean neutral tones with splashes of color.

Leaders 1354

With the arrival of new watches, tees, and winter boots Leaders 1354 has a very dope new stock of gear. Meister Watches sit heavy on the hand and demand attention with their very bulky designs. There are fours levels: the Ambassador, Chief, Superstar, & Prodigy, with the prices ranging from $160 to $290. Vita Morte was restocked and Amongst Friends released a very iconic Rick James & Eddie Murphy t-shirt along with winter boots. The boots are leather and will serve you well in the deep snow.

Jugrnaut

This week Jugrnaut got one step closer to completing their full fall stock up with the arrival of Diamond Supply Co.’s first fall drop. Made up of a great deal of t-shirts and one hoody, all come in multiple colorways. The designs are varied and deliver signature Diamond swag with their large graphic prints. This is not the whole collection, so look for a few more outwear offerings as the season progresses.

The shop seems to always have their hand in some type of ill event. This week they released the footage from ‘The Release’ and photos of their charity event with Earl Bennet. ‘The Release’ looked to be a great time as DJ’s MattBoyWhite, Stefan Ponce, Manny Muscles, and DJ White Owl got Reggie’s rockin’. On October 27th they will help us host The Smoker’s Club Tour’s return to Chicago. Tickets are available online or in-store at Jugrnaut.

RSVP Gallery

RSVP Gallery was one of the few lucky retailers in the world that got a shipment of the Kaws x Hennessy V.S. Congac limited release. The bottle is adorned with many of Kaws signature drawings. 420,000 of the 750 mL bottles were released. I wonder if they needed an alcohol license to sell these in the store. That’s some smooth liquor right there.

Sir & Madame

September 8th was the day for Fashion’s Night Out, the retail celebration that sparked an Odd Future fueled riot, was also the day of many tamer events. Sir & Madame hosted a night of shopping and enjoying some good Chicago company. Happy Hour created custom “Sir” and “Madame” cocktails with a little help from X-Rated Fusion and Skyy Vodka. The night also featured performances by Yashi and Kids These Days. If you missed it you should check out photos shot of the event here.
