RH Re-Up

After a brief two-week absence, I’m finally back from the hellhole of academia and ready to hit you up with this weeks’ Re-Up.

First and foremost, Happy Yom Kippur to all my Jews out there and a belated Happy New Year, I hope you all have a good year.  Even TV host/political satirist, Jon Stewart got down with G-O-D for the high holidays. Click here to see how this Jew broke the fast like a champion. Speaking of repenting for your sins, alternative rock band, Weezer, has got a lot of praying to do. Shocking(?) fans around the world, the band announced earlier this week that a Lil’ Wayne/Weezer collabo was done for their upcoming LP, Ratitude. Not only is the concept of Weezy F. Baby rapping on a Weezer track awkward enough, it was also confirmed that Jermaine Dupri has a hand in this as well. Whether it’s pressure from the label or just a half-baked idea, the days of “Hash Pipe” and “Buddy Holly” that we loved so much aren’t coming back any time soon. Check out the whole article here. Unfortunately, Weezer’s bad choices weren’t the only unexpected announcements to be made this week. For some unknown reason, Live Nation pulled the plug this Thursday on Lady Gaga and Kanye West’s Fame Kills tour, cancelling all dates nationwide. Some speculate that Kanye’s impending court case and desire to take time off are behind this unanticipated move. Click here to read more, more details on the way. Though the world may seem upside down at times, one thing will always remain the same, people love money. T-Shirt brand Money Laundry, loves money so much they decided to make their newest line out of it. Stitched with actual U.S. Currency, or “money thread” as they call it, these one of a kind tees are made from recycled bills, sport graphics inspired from the currency of the 19th and 20th centuries, and only cost $22.56. Check them out here.
