One EskimO grabbed our attention with their retro-tinged “Kandi” and became one of our favorite new bands with their self-titled debut LP, and a “do what you love” approach to music. As lead singer Kristian Leontiou says in this interview, “we’ve all done different stuff in different bands, and it just felt at the time I was just working on stuff my heart wasn’t really in.” It was then that One EskimO was born, when Leontiou decided he would only concentrate on the music he wanted to make.
We caught up with the band during a tour stop in Chicago to talk about their ethos, their music, and the intersection of each in this new RH TV feature, “Who Is One Eskimo?”
