Mikey and Chuck recently made their way to the Big Apple to perform at S.O.B.’s. Mr. Rocks is the focus of this video which shows us some more footage of him in the studio with DD172 and Bluroc staple producer Ski Beatz. It has been known for some time now that the two have been working together, they were seen in the studio when Mikey headed up to Dame Dash’s house in upstate NY. The video showcases some of The Cool Kids performance, as well as some delicatessen dining and Mikey getting fitted with some ill threads before the show. I remember when “Black Mags” dropped maybe two summers ago, (was it three), and since then have seen the duo continue to grow and evolve. People said that they were a fad, or wouldnt be able to maintain the quality of music they put out from the get go, but The Cool Kids have proved the naysayers wrong. They continue to stay fresh, looks wise and musically, and now that they have started to work on solo projects as well their shine will only continue to increase. With Ski Beatz helping Mikey on his upcoming project, I’m hoping for something Pilot Talk-esque.
