“They say I’m pro-Jewish, and I’m like ‘no. I’m not pro-Jewish, I am a Jewish pro.”

I usually don’t post “kitsch-rap” or music that rides any ethnicity like a gimmick train.  I was kind of skeptical when Hebonics 101 showed up in my inbox from the NYC emcee, Sneakas.  The  mixtape is presented by MC Serch of 3rd Bass fame, as well as Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97, a couple more yamulke wearing standouts.  So… feeling a little sentimental about Sandy Koufax and Hank Greenberg, I decided to give Sneakas a chance, and I actually dig it the music.  “Good Day” combines sunny production with optimistic and at times humorous lyrics, and is a great listen at 8:30 AM as the day starts.  The full project also features Iron Solomon, Ill Bill, and MC Serch himself.  It centers on what Sneakas calls “Jewish street culture connected through the veins of Hip Hop.”  You can sample “Good Day” below if you are so inclined.
