[Mixtape] Auggie the 9th: "NOW that's what I call Krej"

Auggie the 9th is doing his part to make sure YOUR hump day is just that much better with the surprise mixtape, NOW that’s what I call Krej. Meant to tide us all over while he puts the final touches on GAWS, Krej is a collection of previously released tracks where Augustus raps raps over Flosstradamus tracks. Observant eyes will notice a post-apocalyptic Easter egg embedded in the files themselves, too. GAWS is coming soon, but NOW that’s what I call Krej! is to make sure you guys don’t forget what Auggie can do.

Remember, you can catch Auggie the 9th’s Akuma flow at Café Mustache for free this Saturday at 9pm with Jams Dean, Sticky Ricardo, and LOD’s Cadillac Duke. You can download NOW that's what I call Krej directly here.

[RH Photos] ShowYouSuck and Auggie the 9th Live @ Threadless X CBLDF C2E2 After-Party

This past weekend was C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo) 2013, and I had the pleasure of spending my entire Saturday with some familiar Ruby Hornet figures in Auggie the 9th, ShowYouSuck, and Chandler London. Video footage from the day's shenanigans spent wandering around the show floor admiring various street art, comic books, cosplayers, and general geeky stuff is cooking and will be posted in the near future. Keep your eyes out for them!

However, after our day of being rambunctious ragamuffins at the convention, Auggie and Show performed their own individual sets at the Threadless X CBLDF C2E2 After-Party. Threadless, the Chicago-based, community-driven T-shirt company, and the CBLDF (Comic Book Legal Defense Fund), a non-profit organization that helps protect First Amendment rights for comic artists, writers, retailers, and collectors, teamed up to provide some late night fun for C2E2 attendees where Auggie had all the ladies (and possibly a few guys) twerking in some KEDS, while Show made everybody wish they still had their flip phones.

You can check out the photos below. If you would like to read more about the CBLDF, I encourage you to visit their website.

Nick Astro

Nick Astro: "Rainman Flies" feat. Auggie The 9th

#LOD affiliates Nick Astro & Auggie The 9th link up and knock out "Rainman Flies", the latest single from Astro's forthcoming SUPER16 project. The track was inspired by Eminem's "Rainman" and both emcees give the last line of that song its own concept over an instrumental produced by 2008ighties in house producer Sani. Astro & Auggie show a strong chemistry and seem to feed off each others style to make this joint a must-download!
