Everybody is on their phone. Thousands of people everyday wear out their thumbs scrolling through photos, deciding which ones to post on Instagram. It’s so easy to do whether you’re a photographer or not; just point, shoot, choose a filter and post whatever you created. From funny duck face selfies, to breathtaking landscapes, to gritty city streets. Some use it as visual journal giving glimpses of their lives, while others have taken it to another level by creating works of art. All of us at Ruby Hornet are fans of the social media platform and decided to do a weekly series highlighting people whose Instagrams stand above the rest. Let us know in the comments section if you’d like to be featured, or let us know about some other cool Instagrams. Be sure to follow Ruby Hornet on Instagram, too.

This week’s featured Instagram comes from @nativechild. The photos from this Instagram gallery are some of my favorites because of their photo composition and the subject matter. You'll get a good mix of everything from shots of architecture to portraits to landscapes and everything in between. Some of my favorite shots are the ones shot at night because of the look and feel of them and how the photos are edited. Be sure to check out some of his photos here, and head on over to his Instagram for more imagery.

This week’s featured Instagram comes from @charleyzheng. If there's one thing I do like, it's landscape photography and seeing incredible shots of mother nature. Maybe that's why I'm drawn to this Instagram gallery because its photo composition and the amazing landscapes shots of the Pacific Northwest. It's a nice change from seeing skyscrapers and the daily stuff of urban living, and the views aren't something you can't get in a big city. Be sure to check out some of her photos here, and head on over to her Instagram for more great visuals.

This week’s featured Instagram comes from @ilitchpeters. This photographer and designer really gives you a look at NY capturing some great images of the city. The compositions of his photos make this gallery pop out but it's the slow shutter photos that are really cool to me. When you go through his gallery it's hard not to want to go out and create your own slow shutter shots. So be sure to check out some of his photos here and head on over to his Instagram for more great shots.

This week’s featured Instagram comes from @misvincent. As her bio states, this Instagrammer is showing a different side of the state of Mississippi, and by looking through her gallery, she certainly is. There is so much creativity that goes into her images that are made entirely with her iPhone that each piece is truly a work of art. When you scroll through her gallery, you get lost in a dream world, and you might suffer from a visual overload. Go take a look for yourself and check out at a few of her shots here, and be sure to head on over to her Instagram for more awesome imagery.

This week’s featured Instagram comes from @carissa_burton. There's just something about New York and the environment that provides so many photo opportunities, which is a reason I like this gallery. You get a mix of the nitty gritty of New York, and she also is able to capture its beauty through her lens. I really enjoy this Instagram account for the mix of photos that she takes as she hits the streets of NY. Take a look at a few of her shots, and be sure to head on over to her Instagram for more great photos.
