Elizabeth Olsen is the front-runner Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron

Here's some casting news for The Avengers: Age of Ultron: The youngest Olsen sister, Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), is rumored to be the front-runner to portray Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the ensemble film. Originally, Disney and Marvel had their eyes set on Saoirse Ronan (Hanna), but she passed on the role, leading to Olsen's involvement. No word on whether or not the talented actress will accept the role, however.

The Scarlet Witch, alongside her brother Quicksilver, who is confirmed to be played by Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson, are the children of famous X-Men adversary, Magneto. However, they're just as known for their involvement with the Avengers as they are with their fellow mutants and the various X-Men teams. They're also controversially known for their questionably incestuous relationship.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron still has a year and a half before it's released in theaters, so the twins' roles, as well as who will eventually end up portraying Scarlet Witch, are still a ways away from being confirmed.
