[Video] 2014 Grammy Awards Performance Recap

While the awards may have left some excitement on the table, the performances of the 2014 Grammy Awards certainly did not disappoint. Jay-Z and Beyonce started things off with a rousing performance of their track "Drunk in Love" from her recent release that got the energy going in the Staples Center. Lorde performed her 2013 seminal track "Royals" to a certain degree of minimalism, sporting a darker new look and Pharrell and Daft Punk teamed up with none other than Stevie Wonder for a rendition of "Get Lucky" which went on to win record of the year and Kendrick Lamar linked up with Imagine Dragons for an inspired performance than skipped across songs, opening with "m.A.A.d City" which had at least two in the front row out of their seats. Alas, all the showmanship was thus in vain to the almighty Macklemore & Ryan Louis whose Teflon-esque evening continued into their live performance as they trumped the rest of the field by hosting 33 gay marriages onstage with Madonna. There's a lot you can do to create entertainment, but I have to say there's not much more than that. We rounded up the whole lot of Grammy performances and have them streaming here below for your viewing pleasure. Check them out and stay tuned to RH for continuing Grammy coverage.

[Video] Their/They're/There: "New Blood"

There was a dark moment in music when the term "emo" was misappropriated to represent all of the suburban mall punk bands with their greasy, long black hair, snakebites, star tattoos, and girl jeans expressing themselves with high school rhymes about their hearts crushed, angst over their suburban upbringings, and whatever the hell else they went on about... Honestly, the mid-2000 "emo" shit was exactly that: shit, and not my type of shit, either. When the term entered the mainstream lexicon and used in the way "goth" was five years prior, I knew it was only a matter of time before the punk community took the term back. Do you even know Embrace, the so-called "godfathers" of emo? Of course not.

Consisting of local legend Mike Kinsella (Cap'n Jazz, Owen, American Football) on drums, Matt Frank (The Para-Medics, Loose Lips Sink Ships) on guitar, and Evan Weiss (Into It. Over It.) on bass and vocals, Their/They're/There is one Chicago superband ready to take the "emo" title back and show what the genre is really about. With Weiss' indie vocals and introspective lyrics, Frank's math rock-inspired guitar playing, and Kinsella's subtle cymbal slaps, Their/They're/There have been demonstrating why Chicago has always been the destination for Midwestern Punk.

In a recently released video for "New Blood" off of their latest EP, Analog Weekend, a man whose life is literally filled with blood finds that he himself lacks the life energy. You can watch the video below. The band will be embarking on a mini-East Coast tour, beginning with a hometown show at Schuba's on Sunday, followed by dates in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Boston, and Hamden. Emo, post-hardcore, experimental indie, math-rock, whatever you want to call them: Their/They're/There is good, and that's ultimately what matters.

[Video] The Walking Dead Season Two gameplay teaser

Riding high off of the show's popularity, as well as their own popularity with the resurgence of adventure games with their previous releases of Sam and Max and Back to the Future, Telltale Games' The Walking Dead not only stayed true to the comic book, it further popularized both the adventure game genre and proved that episodic video games can, in fact, be successful. How successful, you ask? Telltale revealed yesterday that The Walking Dead sold over 21m individual episodes across both the five episodes that made up Season One and the transition episode, 400 Days.

Not a company to simply rest on their laurels, Telltale also released the first gameplay teaser of The Walking Dead: Season Two. Not much is revealed, but the nature of the series relies on the mystery and surprise that each episode offers. However, what has been confirmed is that Clementine, Season One's main minor character, will in fact be playable this season. Considering everything the young girl faced, it'll be interesting to see if she'll be compelling enough to play as in comparison to Season One's protagonist, Lee.

The Walking Dead: Season Two's first episode will be released later this year. Season passes will run for $22.50, while individual episodes will probably run for the standard $4.99.

[Video] The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker meets Kanye West's "Black Skinhead"

Video game music mashup videos are usually hit or miss. Sometimes, the song doesn't fit the scenes or video games chosen. Other times, the editing is abysmal and overshadows the humor in seeing X video game mashed together with Y song. This "Black Hylian" video, however, does everything right. YouTube user Kryptick Bidoof mashed together scenes from the Wii U HD re-release of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker with Kanye West's "Black Skinhead" off of Yeezus. Video games and hip hop are in unison once again. Do you think Kanye will use the video as a backdrop during his Yeezus Tour? I think he should.

[Video] Vin Diesel and Tony Jaa's behind the scenes training for Fast & Furious 7

When Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak) was cast for Fast & Furious 7, I was excited for what his role would mean for the film. With the core F&F cast returning alongside newcomer Jason Statham, my adoration for the already entertaining action blockbuster was already high as is. But with Jaa's dedication to martial arts, it meant the next sequel would become more technical in its close-quarters combat.

In a new behind the scenes video released this week, Fast and Furious staple Vin Diesel teamed up with Jaa for a little combat training. The video has questionable production quality, but the main attraction is watching Diesel and Jaa train. One of the highlights includes Jaa bicycle kicking a training pad held approximately 10 feet in the air.

Fast & Furious 7 can't come fast enough.

[Video] Oldboy #EatTheClues clip + contest

[youtube id="-eoBkUxE4v0" mode="normal" align="center"]

With only a month and a half away separating us from Spike Lee's remake of Oldboy's theatrical release, the marketing for the film is elevating to new heights. Recently, a new clip for Oldboy was released showing new footage of Josh Brolin's Joe Doucett investigating various Chinese restaurants to find the exact one his captives ordered food from to feed him over his 20 years of captivity.

For those unfamiliar with the Korean film adaptation of Oldboy, the hammer/fight scene is one of the film's most memorable scenes, both for its brutality, realistic, desperate fighting, and the technicality behind the long take. Considering the popularity of the scene, it's sure to play a major role in Spike's version.  In an ingenious marketing move, a contest was created to win the hammer from the film. Contestants simply have to visit their local Chinese restaurant, take a photo of some dumplings, and tweet it to @FilmDistrict with the hashtag #EatTheClues until October 20th.

Good luck!

Cadillac Duke hits Chinatown in the official video for his street-single "Chop Shop". The record highlights Caddy's outspoken personality through his urban style with some added realness because of how personal the track feels. Shot and edited by A Talented Films. Album drops on February 26th.
