I’ve always been a Tapes n’ Tapes fan, though their last album left me a little high and dry. It was far from bad but there was little that urged me to listen. The first single for the band’s third album, Outside, immediately caught me. Maybe it’s the New Year’s vibe or it’s because I was always the man behind the camera, catching those moments that will forever prevent my high school friends from running from public office, I don’t know. Either way, it’s exactly what I’ve always loved about the band, upbeat and dynamic. Outside is released on 1/11 via ibid records.
