Back when I interviewed Sir Michael Rocks in March, he was very excited about their new label deal, and the fact that this would now allow them to put out their highly anticipated album, after label issues with Chocolate Industries. Ever since that interview, I have been patiently waiting for this day, and was excited when Chuck alluded to this announcement on his twitter last week. On July 12th, the highly anticipated and almost 5-year delayed debut LP, When Fish Ride Bicycles drops via Mountain Dew Green Label Sound. Mikey had this to saw about their recent deal, “We went through a tough time, where we we’re trying to figure out a way to put out new music. At the end of the day we ended up getting a better deal than we would have any other way, so we stayed optimistic and hopeful and everything worked out.” The album is a clean and concise 11-tracks, with Chuck handling the production with the exception of the final track “Summer Jam” which is produced by Pharrell. (Would’ve liked to see a Blended Babies credit too). Features on the album include, Ghostface Killah, Bun B, Travis Barker, Chip The Ripper, Tennille, Boldy James & Mayor Hawthorne. Hit the jump for tracklist.
