Director Kristopher Rey?-?Talley & Hot Mop Films collaborated with The ILLZ to create this project, which is truly a innovation in itself.
“The main goal of this project is to prove that simplicity truly is the highest form of sophistication. almost every song in this project consists of one verse with no chorus, with the exception of the first release “Dreams of Life & Beth”…The videos were met with the same approach, with minimal editing and shots. It was the collective effort and goal of The ILLZ, Kristopher Rey-Talley, and Hot Mop Films to create moving visuals for the songs on this project that embodied the same minimalist approach.”
After weeks of videos released, the audio is here to accompany the visuals and The ILLZ has now put out in my opinion two of the best releases in this newer genre of Alternative Hip-Hop over the past year, in The Pursuit LP & In Between Video Series.
