The Nocturnals

ShowYouSuck played a show at the Empty Bottle last weekend alongside The Hood Internet, but this post is not about ShowYouSuck.  It is about one of his openers, MC Rota, who emailed me with a couple joints from his album with producer Lucca, who together form The Nocturnals.  Rota is a self-described weird and nerdy lawyer, but an excellent rapper.  So far so good, if you like that kind of thing. I can dig nerdie-rap from time to time, I have both of MC Paul Barman’s LPs after all… Here though, we have “Sweet Home”, a sociological reprise about the Windy City featuring Young General, as well as “A Song”, which you can figure out for yourselves.  Check them both below.
