U-God

Do you remember those ‘who’s your favorite member of the Wu?’ discussions you used to have with your boys?  Obvious choices were ODB for his out the wall-what I’m-saying-is-totally-insane-but-I-mean-it-whole-heartedly-so-it-makes-sense style, or Method Man for his brashness and undeniable flow, an underdog choice was always Inspectah Deck, who some would argue was the nicest of the Wu Members.  Another underdog choice was always U-God, who’s deep voice was instantly recognizable along with his signature pattern.  U-God is dropping a new album today, Dopium, which I’ve actually been listening to all morning. U-God enlists his Wu brethen heavy on Dopium, which sticks to full beats, slick samples, and rhymes that you’d expect from U-God and co.  To shine some more light on the album, I have couple tracks for you to listen to below, as well as a video in which U-God talks about his career.
