Monday: Mic Terror Video shoot
We’re kicking off the week by shooting a video for Mic Terror’s “Favorite Girl”. The song appears on Mic’s latest release, Can I Borrow A Feeling, which was done in collaboration with DJ RTC. The mixtape was inspired by Luther Vandross, and if you have yet to pick it up you can partake right here.
Tuesday: Rick Ross Listening Party
Rawse! Rick Ross will hit the city for an official album release party on Tuesday. It goes down at Vibe and you can get more info right here.
Wednesday: Leaders of The New Cool Chicago
Some of Hip Hop’s rising stars will be in Chicago on Weds for a re-up on the Leaders of The New Cool series. Catch Big K.R.I.T., Phil Ade, Wil May, Vado, Rockie Fresh, Scheme and others. Tickets available here.
Thursday: Digital Freshness w/Freddie Gibbs at Beauty Bar
Digital Freshness returns on Thursday with a special party hosted by Freddie Gibbs. We’re taking the online/offline party to Bucktown’s Beauty Bar, where DJ RTC and VIPJ will provide the soundtrack, and Mr. Gibbs will be on hand for an intimate club night. Friday: Exxxtacy After Party and TITS Model Call
I don’t even know where to start with this one, lol… The streetwear brand TITS has teamed up with RH and The Bassment for a super-duper model call and after party for the Exxxacty convention. This one is going to be craaazy. The flyer says it all.
Saturday: Yelawolf At The Dark Room
The week ends with a deluxe show at the Darkroom as Yelawolf makes her first ever appearance in Chicago. Joining Yelawolf on the bill are hometown heroes Hollywood Holt and BBU, as well as Rockwell Knuckles, Vonnegut, and our own DJ RTC.
