While we were in Chicago covering The Pitchfork Festival, people were getting just as busy in the Big Apple, with the 7th annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. This year featured performances from artists such as Homeboy Sandman, Random Axe, Nitty Scott, Eternia, and Kendrick Lamar, who all set the stage for the headlining Q-Tip & Friends. Q-Tip stole the show by bringing out friends such as Busta Rhymes, Black Thought, and Kanye West, the latter of whom performed “Award Tour”.
