Top 10 Bands to See at Riot Fest 2015

Riot Fest 2015: Day 1

Mariachi El Bronx (2:30 p.m.)

The Bronx have an alter ego by the name of a punk mariachi band called Mariachi El Bronx. It’s the most untraditional, traditional act of Riot Fest (aside from Gwar). The only punk rock mariachi band worth mentioning in any capacity.

Against Me! (4:45 p.m.)

Against Me! have been touring extensively for their new(ish) record, Gender Dysphoria Blues, which was released in 2014 via Total Treble Music. The record is a swan song of sorts for lead singer Laura Jane Grace as her public outing as a transgender female occurred almost two years ago.

Ice Cube & Special Guests (9:00 p.m.)

Not only did the N.W.A. movie do great in the box office this month, but their hit record is making it’s way back up the charts in it’s rightful place. While the original gangsters have aged, Ice Cube performing the record live will be just as amazing now as it was back then (I saw him play it live in 2014).
