Top 10 Bands to See at Riot Fest 2015

Riot Fest 2015: Day 3

L7 (6:40 p.m.)

The ladies of 90’s grunge band L7 are going to be hitting the stage in Chicago for the first time in almost 20 years. What better time to bring on riot grrrl revival than during Riot Fest?

Tenacious D (7:40 p.m.)

While Rize of Fenix is their most recent album, Pick of Destiny is the best record in the band’s catalog. In addition to the antics of Kyle Gas and Jack Black of Tenacious D, their drummer is the elusive rock devil himself; Dave Grohl. The group are bound to play their hits as well as (hopefully) some newer, better material with the aforementioned drummer.

Modest Mouse (8:45 p.m.)

The Washington natives of Modest Mouse are coming off of a eight year record hiatus. Their most recent release, Strangers to Ourselves, has proved to be worth the wait. A highly recommended band to see this year at Riot Fest for both new and old fans. The group are known to play shows with more than the average number of encores.
