I’ve been a fan of Torae since he appeared alongside DJ Spinna on the grimey “Lyrics Is Back”. Torae hardcore rhymestyle is something you don’t see too much these days, and he’s got a great balance of punch you in the face energy mixed with pure emcee lyricism. His album Double Barrel with Marco Polo was a constant in my Camry when it dropped, and “Rah Rah S**t” always gets me hyped. A couple days ago Torae sent me this track “Point of View” off his new mixtape/EP Heart Failure. The new project drops February 15th, and you can sample “Point of View” below.
