Alright, I’m officially on board with Charlie Countryman. The first trailer was an intriguing look at the Shia LaBeouf-led film about a man’s dangerous romance in the underbelly of Romania. However, this new Red Band trailer for the film has me hooked on the film. We’ve already briefed readers about Charlie Countryman‘s plot about a young man traveling to Romania as the result of a vision he had, only to fall into conflict in Romania’s dangerous underground.
While the new trailer features some scenes we’ve already previously scene, the extra shots it shows were enough to win me over. Considering the nature of Red Band trailers, more violence, more sex, and more drugs are showcased. Indeed, Charlie Countryman appears to capitalize on as much edginess as it can. Hell, any chance to catch Evan Rachel Wood topless is A-OK in my book. Yes, I’m still worried about the overuse of genre, and the early reviews of the film have me a bit cautious, but I’m ready and willing to throw caution into the wind when Charlie Countryman hits theaters and VOD on November 15th.
