I never finished watching the 21 Jump Street reboot that came out last year starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. It didn’t have anything to do with the film itself, but the DVD I received from Redbox refusing to play the final 15 minutes. Tatum fills this mixed role where he can fit into these dopey action star parts despite being a model. Hill, meanwhile, has been doing his best to shed the stoner comedy stereotype by branching out into more drama/action roles. Together, they built a solid rapport in 21 Jump Street, and are set to reprise that relationship in the film’s sequel, 22 Jump Street.

Following the events of the previous film, the sequel finds the two undercover cops infiltrating a drug ring at a local college. Much like before, the two must keep their identities hidden as they attempt to lay down the law. Expect a lot of college film tropes like parties, fraternities, drugs, sex, girls, girls, girls, and more (girls). Will it be enough to justify a sequel? We’ll have to wait and see until next June when the film hits theaters.
